May 31, 2008 - “Paint The Parks” National Artists’ Competition
“Mini” competition for works up to 180 sq. in. Full-size competition for works up to 720 sq. in. Highest scoring painting from all entries wins Grand Prize Purchase Award and gets $10,000. Grand Prize winner and the top 33 paintings from each of the three regions advance to the Paint the Parks100. July 30, 2008 - Richeson’s 75 International Art Competition- Lanscape, Seascape & Architectrue
Awards: Best In Show - $3,000 cash award. First Place in each category will receive a $1,000 certificate for art materials from Jack Richeson & Co., Inc. Second Place Award in each category will receive a $500 certificate for art materials from Jack Richeson & Co., Inc. 75 Finalists and a number of alternates will be selected and invited to participate in the exhibit at the Richeson Gallery in Kimberly, Wisconsin from Sept 12 thru Nov 3, 2008. Only work actually exhibited in the Richeson 75: Landscape show will be eligible for an award. Ongoing Monthly Deadline - International Artist Magazine Competition
A new international competition. Winners of each category will win thousands in prizes and have their painting published in the bimonthly magazine. Each magazine will issue a different challenge. Categories will be "Flowers and Garden," "Interiors," "Paintings from the Imagination" (non-representative and abstract art), "Objects of Delight" (still life) and "Portraits and Figures."
