| Diane Stolz Diane studied art in New York City where she was born and grew up. She took courses at the Art Student's league and studied oil painting with George Gach. After marriage, her family moved to Kansas City where Diane completed her BA the the University of Missouri and established herself as an award winning watercolorist. She studied with Zoltan Szabo and took may other workshops and classes around the country. She is a two time winner at the American Artists Professional League National Exhibit at the Salmagundi Club in NYC ~ won the Frank C. Wright Memorial Award there. She has exhibited in two National American Pen Women Exhibits in Washington, D.C. as well as the California Watercolor Society in San Francisco and the San Diego Watercolor Society. She won the Bank IV Purchase Award at the Kansas Watercolor Society's Big 8 Exhibition and this past March won the Art Spectrum Award at the Chicago Pastel Society's Biennial Exhibition at the Koehnline Museum in March of 2009. Diane has studied pastel with Donna Aldridge, PSA and has exhibited and won prizes in the field of pastel. She was awarded the floral pastel award by Urania Christy Tarbet at the Sierra Pastel Society in 2008 She has been juried into the Degas Pastel Society shows, Maryland Pastel (2009) juried by Richard McKinley. and many other venues. She is a Signature member of MAPS, KWS, MoWS, ISAP and the Northern Rockies Patel Society. | |||||
