Diane Stolz Diane studied art in New yokr City where she was born and grew up. She took courses at the Art Student's League and studied oil painting with George Gach. After her marriage, her family moved to Kansas City where Diane completed her BA at the Univeristy of Missouri and established herself as an award winning watercolorist. She studied watercolor with the late Zoltan Szabo and took many other workshops and classes around the country. She is a two time winner at the American Artists Professional Grand National Exhibit at the Salmagundi Club in NYC ~ and won the Frank C. Wright Memorial Award there. She has exhibited in two National American Pen Women Exhibits in Washington, D.C. as well as the California Watercolor Society in San Francisco and also the San Diego Watercolor Society's International Exhibit in 2004. She is a Signature Member of the Kansas Watercolor Society and has won the Bank IV Purchase Award in their show at the Wichita Art Museum. In May 2008, Diane was mdeSigature Member of the Mkissouri Watercolor Society. She is also a Signature Member of the Mid America Pastel Society. Diane has studied pastel w;Donna Aldridge PSA and has exhibited and won prizes in the field of pastel. Some of Diane's shows include: Connectudut Pastel Society's (People' Choice Award); Pastels on High, Sierra Pastel Society, CA; Degas Pastels Society[s 10th Biennial Exhibit; Diane won fFrist Place in Pastel at the BourbonCounty juried Art Show in April of 2005 and First Place at the Religious Art Show at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mission, KS.
Most recently Diane has exhibited at the 12th Annual Heartland Artist Exhibition, Pastel National 2008; Wichita Center for the Arts; Mid-America Pastel Society Buttonwood Financial Group showing and the 2008 Juried Exhibition ~ Art at the Center, City of Overland Park, KS; Watercolor Missouri National 8th Juried Show and the Northern Rockies Pastel Society's Pastel Extravaganza in Loveland, CO for their 2008 Exhibit.
