I am a figurative painter. Pastels have been my medium of choice for the past many years, although I do sometimes work in charcoal and oil. My subject matter is quite variable. I like to simplify structural composition and enjoy working with intense colours.

I grew up in northern India and have lived in the United States since 1977. Some of my work tends to reflect the memories and experiences of South Asia.
