Mary Mayfield is a life-long artist with a B.F.A. from the University of Kansas in painting. Working in pastel or oil, Mary loves painting the landscape but also includes figurative and still life. "When I paint, I am searching for personal treasure. I explore subjects and myself through an emotional response as well as a critical eye. The choices in making my art are as intriguing to me as the final piece.

Mary has exhibited in many juried exhibitions and is included in many private collections. At the present time, she exhibits her work at Images Art Gallery in Kansas City's Westport area and is a co-founder and immediate past President of MidAmerica Pastel Society, Inc.
