Ardis Burley's paintings celebrate the beauty and history of life and the land of Middle America. She is an ardent devotee of plein air (outdoor) painting as seen through her landscapes, still lifes and figure painting. Her work is in collections around the world.

The American Heart Association and United Cerebral Palsy Association honored her paintings of the Thomas Hart Benton Home and the Valle Mansion as holiday greeting cards.

In addition to one-woman shows, her award-winning work has been included in invitational and juried exhibitions at William Woods University, Asiana Art & Antiques Gallery, R. G. Endres Gallery, Unitarian Gallery, Westwood City Hall and Commerce Bank on the Country Club Plaza.

Ardis is an advisor to the Board and former Treasurer of the MidAmerica Pastel Society and a member of Greater Kansas City Art Association. She is past president of The Art Study Club at the Nelson Atkins Gallery of Art.
