MAPS February 26, 2004 General Meeting

We quickly covered general business (Reminder: Pay 2004 Dues) and then
moved on to the highlight of the evening--our "Paint Around". Five artists:
Joyce Nichols, Mike Walsh, Donna Aldridge, Paula Wilson, and JoAnne Christensen;
each brought a sketched/blocked-in painting with reference photos to the meeting.
Then we started the clock! For 10 minutes, each artist painted on
their initial artwork, the second 10 minutes, each worked on the painting
to their left. They continued rotating left and working on the next painting
for each additional set of time, until they arrived back at their own painting, where
it was a frenetic race to finish! All told, 5 artists, 5 finished paintings in an hour! Whew!
