General membership in the Mid America Pastel Society is open to anyone paying the annual $25.00 membership dues. We also offer Student Memberships at $15.00/year. Please contact the Membership Chair listed above.
Signature membership and Master Pastelist designations in MAPS are attained through a point-system based on an individual's participation in Regional, National and International juried competitions and show awards acquired during such competitions. Members may request a "Signature Membership Form" from Rich Hayek at our regular meetings or via e-mail. A Word formatted application is available here. Adobe Acrobat *pdf file is also available here. If you need to download Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can obtain it from this link.
All members, and prospective members, are welcome to attend regular meetings. The Society meets the fourth Tuesday of each month for the months of September through June but omitting December.
Regular programs, artist and supplier presentations, and demonstrations are all a part of MAPS. Past meetings have included: Framing techniques, Figure painting of Mountain Man Jim “Two Crows” Wallen, “Promoting your Art” by Mark L. Moseman, Art Slide Shows by Dean Mitchell, Doug Osa and John Boyd Martin, and visits by Terry Ludwig with his beautiful handmade pastels and Bob of Great American Pastels previewing new colors and boxed sets. See the Scribbles page for information on some of the past meetings.
We meet in the lower level, Room 15. Park on the north side of the church. Use the rear entrance, center door with the arched canopy, we’re straight ahead, down the steps. For specific information on the next meeting, please see the Events page. For a map please use this link.
